Word Problem On Addition Of Money
While solving word problem related to addition of money we first analyse the statement and write what has been given in the statement.
We will then write all the money in the short form by placing a dot to separate rupees from paise and will the perform addition.
Illustration 1: Seema bought a rubber band for Rs. 5.25, a scarf for Rs. 10.30 and a bag for Rs. 9.95. How much did she spend in all for these items ?
Solution: First we will analyse the statement and write what is given
Cost of rubber band = Rs. 5.25
